Well worth seeing are also Bruck Castle or Anras Castle and the former Roman settlement of Aguntum, with its archaeological park and open-air museum in Dölsach.

Starting from our hotel, you can undertake countless scenic cycling tours with our hotel bikes, or modern rented electric bikes. In particular, two cycle paths are ideal for family excursions: the Drau cycle path, one of the most beautiful cycle paths in Europe and the Isel cycle path. They are easy to cycle and very picturesque. In the Lienz Dolomites, mountain bikers can choose from more than 40 challenging mountain bike trails covering three of the surrounding mountain groups.

Fancy pure adrenaline? The Alpine Coaster, one of the longest and most spectacular alpine summer toboggan runs in the world, takes you on sledges through the impressive countryside into the valley. A fast, twisty ride for young and old – with individual speed control thanks to handbrake levers. The wonderful panoramic view of Schluss Bruck and the Lienz valley floor makes the trip with the “Osttirodler” a breathtaking experience.

Outdoor enthusiasts will encounter a breathtaking paradise in East Tyrol. Until autumn, water sports fans can go white-water rafting on the Isel in canoes or rafting boats. The largest meltwater river in the Alps features quieter river sections for beginners and more challenging sections with demanding waves for advanced rafters. When canyoning, you face the challenge of crossing waterfalls and rappelling from rock gullies, being supervised by a professional instructor.
Hiking in nature
The untouched mountain landscapes, and more than 200 cabins and mountain inns in East Tyrol feature countless hiking routes, guaranteeing relaxation, recreation and unwinding. The holiday region around the Lienz Dolomites awaits with numerous, versatile hiking trails. The “Rudl-Eller Weg” from the “Dolomitenhütte” to the “Karlsbaderhütte”, or a hike to the lake landscape of the “Neualplseen” at 2,436 meters are particularly popular.
